The Inclusive Business Action Network (iBAN) is a global initiative that supports the scaling and replication of inclusive business models, which support the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. It is jointly co-funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and the European Union, and is implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
iBAN aims to address the socio-economic and environmental challenges that currently. hamper the growth of impact investing in Nigeria by promoting innovative entrepreneurs and new business models. One tactic it is using is to host an investment readiness accelerator and investment summit where entrepreneurs will be introduced to investors.
In collaboration with the Impact Investors Foundation (IIF) in Nigeria, Impact Amplifier will provide capacity building for 20 selected companies through a blended acceleration programme that involves self-studying, expert mentorship and peer-to-peer engagement. The programme will conclude with an IIF Deal Summit to be held in November 2021 where participants will be introduced to a community of curated investors. An additional 40 companies will receive access to Impact Amplifier’s capacity building self-study course and may also be considered for the deal summit. The capacity building will include:
Investment Readiness Acceleration – The three-month accelerator is bespoke and designed around the specific needs of each participating business. The programme covers the following:
The call for businesses to apply to the programme will close on 22 August. Applicants are expected to be selected by 7 September when the programme will begin.
